Catherine Tucker, MD

Biography

Catherine Tucker MD, is a board-certified breast surgical oncologist with more than 25 years of experience in breast surgery, surgical oncology, and breast health.

Dr. Tucker earned her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and received multiple honors, including the Martin J. Loeb Memorial Prize in Surgery and the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Award. She completed her residency training at both Tufts-New England Medical Center and NYU Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in breast diseases at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Faulkner Breast Center.

She has served in leadership roles throughout her career, including medical director of the Breast Care Center at Winchester Hospital and director of the breast health program at North Shore Medical Center. Dr. Tucker is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, with certifications in both breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tucker has contributed to breast cancer research, published in peer-reviewed journals, and presented extensively to both professional and community audiences on topics related to breast health, cancer detection, and surgical advances.
